Make Your Own K9 Christmas Treats

Want to make some yummy treats this Christmas for your best friend? Check out these tasty, easy to make recipes that your dogs are sure to love. They’re suitable for sensitive tummies and easy on the wallet too!

Apple and Cinnamon Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 200g Gluten free wholemeal flour
  • 50g Porridge oats
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 4 Tbsp Apple Sauce

Sweet Potato and Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 200g Gluten free wholemeal flour
  • 50g Porridge oats
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 X Sweet potato, grated. Aproximately 150g
  • 5 Tbsp Smooth Peanut butter (Check your peanut butter is doesn’t contain Xylitol as this can be harmful to your dog)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 200ºc, 180ºc Fan or Gas Mark 4.

Step 2: Add ingredients to a mixing bowl.

Step 3: Kneed with your hands, gradually adding water, until you have a firm dough.

Step 4: Sprinkle surface with flour before rolling dough to approximately 5mm thick.

Step 5: Cut your treats into shape using your cookie cutter.

Step 6: Place your treats onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment.

Step 7: Bake your treats for 20 minutes.

Step 8: Once baked allow to cool before offering your dog a tasty treat! 🐶

You can store your treats in a sealed container, in a cool dry place for up to 3 weeks
